model 242-8610 information

Post by jake »

Got it for free. Would like to know general info about the unit. I ran it on fcc and found wattage and bandwidth but that is about it. Would like to know how many channels it has etc... I am stumped as to where to find more data.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Jake, this radio is a 800mhz LTR trunked radio only.. It's either 15 or
30w and has 10 systems with 10 groups in each.. You can turn it
into a trunked / conv. 800mhz radio with firmware from a 8605 or
8615.. The firmaware is burned on the Micro proc. chip, so it will
need to be replaced.. I have exrea micro proc's if your interested..
