G'day,
I have a 5100 model 242-5133-410-BC2. The radio's DSP is 2.2.5 with a Controller version of 2.8.8.
I also have the legit dealer supplied software. The software version is V02.08.04. I can read the radio, however when I go to write to it, I get an error message saying;
"This version of PCC does not support radios with the File Format older than 5.9"
The radio has File Format Version 5.8. Is there anything that I can do to overcome the problem? Or does it mean a trip to the dealer for a firmware upgrade?
Thanks
Russell

Your programming software (PCC) is too new for the firmware in the radio. You can either get an older version of PCC to work with your fimware, or better yet upgrade the radio to match the firmware!
You will need PCC 1.28.0.8 to program your radio as is. If you upgrade the radio to the latest 2.8.15 you will still need PCC 1.28.0.8.
