The model # as best I can tell is P-H251A. S/N is 42164. Looking for crystal replacements and whether the radio is capable of TX a CTCSS tone...Thanks!! Steve D KD8BIW

Steve,

The MCPH251 has a maximum transmit output of 2.5watts. Crystals might still be available from International Crystal Manufacturing. See link: (http://www.icmfg.com/).

The radio would have to be tuned to your frequency. Tunible or programmable after market tone boards were installed in some radios. It would be located in the small cavity located inside at the bottom of the rear cover. Very early version tone boards had plug-in tone reeds.

Regards,

Bill
