Regency Micro Com L64A

Post by roaddogg »

I have a Regency Micro Com L64A radio on 33.06 Mhz. and would like to know how hard would it be to bring it down to 10 Meters. I will be using 29.600, 29.620, 29.640 and 29.680.
Thanks,
John

As long as you have an "A" range mobile you should be able to install a good set of crystals and retune the receiver and transmitter. Of coarse you need proper test equipment and tuning tools. The cheap crystals will not work as they generally do not have enough drive and the frequency is not stable. International Crystal or Frequency Management used to make a good crystal but they must be burned in for the frequencies to be stable.

I hope this helps.
