Relm MPV32 Speaker Problem

Post by bozotexino »

I have an MPV32 that has suddenly developed a speaker problem. Even at full knob volume, the audio is muffled and distorted. The audio does sound fine when an external speaker is connected.

Is this a common problem with the MPV32? Is it worth fixing?

Thanks

I don't know anything about the MPV32s, but from the sounds of it, I would be guessing that the internal speaker is bad. If it works fine on an external speaker, then that should rule out the audio amp, etc. As to what it takes to replace the internal speaker, I couldn't tell you, sorry. It sure sounds like it would be worth taking to a local shop, and asking for an estimate. (As long as the estimate is not outrageously expensive)
