The Radio Information Board

I have lost my XTR manual. I have a 70-1340B radio. I am getting an intermittant E3 error code and have static in modulation when radio does transmitt. I have replaced electrolytic cap in VCO circuit and cleaned board. I have looked at PA board for overheated diodes and caps. I also cleaned mic ptt switch. I removed PL board and still have static. I have not changed caps on PL board. What should I try next? What does manual say about error code E3?

If you post a pm to n4fv he can send you the book you need via the computer. I sent him the books and he scanned them and converted them to a file. He can send the file or maybe a cd of the file. Heck of a nice guy and a Midland guru. If that wan't work let me know and I will try to come up with my copy and send it to you.
