70-1337B squelch

Post by novice11 »

We have a 70-1337B at our rural school for bus contact. It appears the squelch is too high and noisey when any volume is turn up. You can broadcast and receive but can't leave volume up it is too distracting. Is there a way to adjust squelch on this model? Can find no manuals anywhere on this.

It appears that Midland Bantam radio's squelch control is only accessible from a computer through the programming software.
The radio shop that sold it to the school should be able to help.
