Talkaround button for Orion control head?

Post by 007 »

I have a full button kit, but it's devoid of a button for talkaround.

Anyone have one that says "DIR" or "T/A" or similar?
The serial bus on my Orion is working for it's money.

I always use the red EMERGENCY key for DIRECT on a conventional-only ORION... There is no DIR or T/A available...

Thanks Ken... I think I will do that, as it's a VHF conventional radio.

Orion keycaps

I've made my own custom labels over the years, print the text/symbol you want on a label maker with clear tape, black print - but reversed so the background is black and the writing remains clear. Put the label on a blank keycap and trim with a scapel or x-acto knife and pop it on the radio. Looks virtually identical to an original and the backlighting lights it up great.
