I still have that pesky S850 control head....I ask now whether I can convert the head to conventional operation, a-la /\/\. Basically, how can I make it into a S825? Or am I trying to make a pipe dream happen?
I have asked about this before myself. Basically impossible to do this as you would need to replace both PCBs inside the head, etc. Firmware will not interchange nor does the S850 use the same control cable as the 825. Please PM me as I may be interested in your 850.
