Question about the X2212 chip

Post by Charlie B »

I have a stupid question about the X2212 chip.

I have not worked with many GE radios, and was interested to see if one were to pull say.. a Rangr or Delta and try to program it with the prom burner. Could one use the prom in the radio and rewrite it, or do you just chuck it and start new????

Yes, you can rewrite the x2212. It can be used in the Delta S/SX, Rangr, and Pheonix S/SX. If you are using a S-950 or S-990 downloading head it will write to the x2212 every time the radio is powered up or the mode is changed.
