Programming Cable

Post by K8COP »

I have a GPH5102X and a EPH5102X

Where can I find a print on how to make a programming cable for these units to hook it up to a computer?

Is their software astill vailable for these units yet?

Is their some sort of jumper for manually placing the radio into a programming mode?

BK units are new to me.....Need some help on this..

Thanks,

Jim

The EPH stuff should be available under the files section of one of the BKradio or BK_radio groups.yahoo.com sites.

If you lay the radio on its back the pins closest to the table would be the ones you want to short out for hand programming. They are the farthest to the back on the top and farthest to the back on the bottom row. Short those with a dime or something while holding the FCN key down. It should ask for password. The default is 000000 but it could have been changed. Google BK programming manual for additional details.
