Using ICOM commercial microphones on the V8000 amateur radio

Post by Kraftwerk1976 »

Does anyone know if the ICOM commercial radio microphones will work with the IC-V8000 amateur radio? I would like to replace the HM-133 mic. with a less costly mic...that way, if I break the cheaper microphone, I won't feel as bad, hehe. If it will work, what are the model numbers? Thanks.

P.S.
I have indeed noticed the fairly cheap HM-118 that has NO touchtone (that is fine with me), but everywhere I look, nobody has it for sale. Well, they have the HM-118TN, which has the touchtone pad, but I don't want/need that one.

Icom mics...

Icom commercial mics work fine on the ham radios just as long as the interconnect plug is an RJ45.

Tom,

I have some serious problems with the PTT switch and PTT 'lever' on the latest ICOM F621 mobile mics. (2004).

Even ICOM denied any problem and could not come up with the part numbers for the lever and so called spring.
