I have a line on a gently used IC-F5121. The Icom literature says it is digital capable. Does that mean it uses NAC codes? Or are NAC codes specific to P25 compatable radios, because I don't think this radio is P25.

Background: I work/volunteer on 2 different agencies with 2 different dispatches. One is digital/narrowband with NAC codes instead of PL tones. The other dispatch is still wide band, but about to switch to narrow. I really can't afford 2 radios.

The optional digital mode for an F5121 is NXDN digital, not P25. If you need P25, the F5121 is not the radio.
