I was wondering if anyone had the service manual for the G71a or a place to get it from. Mine seems to be out of alignment in the 140-160 range now and just beeps at me when it's anywhere in this range. No TX or RX. It's been modified for the wide tx and rx and worked fine up until about 2 months ago and now nothing in that range. Thanks for any help.

Hi There. I may have one. I had a couple of the g71s' I bought as doorstops and made one work as a scanner. Do you get a message saying rnge or dc on the display? I know there is a module inside the radio that will cause a failure if it becomes disconnected. I'll look around, but I've moved since I las looked at it. Thanks, Will

No, just beeps at me when in the range that won't work and won't transmit. UHF and anything other then 140 to 160 works fine. Thanks for any help it's greatly appreciated. This is the 2nd radio I've bought as I wore the first one out and hate having to get a new one.
