TK-3140 Scan Programming

Hi all,
I am having trouble with the scan on mine. I have FRS/GMRS in System 7, and listed in the group positions. I am trying to set it where it doesnt scan until I hit the S Key. If I set (Grp LOut) to NO, it scans these even if I dont toggle scan. If I go into Sys Data and check mark scan list with it on 7 only, it doesnt scan them. Any ideas on how to set it? Thanks
