Difference between TK760HG-1 and TK760G

What is the difference between the TK760HG-1 and the TK760G? Also, the TK760HG-1 has what looks like an accessory connector on a pigtail. Is this Molex connector standard or an option?

H vx. non-H

The H is a high power version and the pigtail is an option.
I had a TK-860HG (high power UHF) but it didn't have
the pigtail. Not sure what options are availiable thru
that pigtail.

Both documents are from the kenwood usa site.

on the 760h the pigtail is a KCT-19 connector

1 HK/CHS MIC hook input/channel select
2 ME MIC GND
3 IGN ignition input
4 DEO Detect output
5 MI MIC input
6 E GND
7 SB DC supply (1A)
8 PTT PTT input
9 DI Data mod input
10 HOR horn alert output
11 SQ Squelch output
12 SP Audio output
13 AM Audio mute input
14 MM MIC mute input
15 TXS Signal indicating whether the transciever is transmitting or not.

keep in mind there are additional daughterboards that go into the radio to enable some of these functions....

Pretty simple, really. I'll use the 'wrong' set of bracket for an example, the correct ones to use for BBCode are the '[ ]' ones.

Simply use the format:

{url=www.radioinfoboard.com}The Radio Information Board{/url}

That would 'hide' the actual web address, and show 'The Radio Information Board' instead. You can also use other BBCode commands, like underline, italics, color, etc.. within the link:

{url=www.webaddress.com}{color=red}{u}site link{/u}{/color}{url}

would show the words 'site link', underlined, in red, instead of the actual web address. Keep in mind that BBCode actually uses the '[ ]' brackets, not the '{ }' brackets that I used for the explanation. Here are the links you posted when formatted that way:

Absolutely. It follows the same format, as does all other BBCode. You could even put a weblink inside a quote, or a quote inside a weblink! Ain't BBCode nice? Fun, too, for that matter. 8)

BTW, alchohol injected deisel. Nice!

minor correction.... I think that is straight diesel, if anything it may have nitrous oxide (I havent heard of anyone running alchohol in their diesel)

Off topic, but still an interesting topic! Yes, a lot of deisel powered pulling vehicles use deisel with alchohol injection to make loads and loads of power. If you've ever noticed while at a tractor pull, the tractors put out a large volume of dark grey smoke just before starting the pull. That's straight deisel. Then, the smoke goes solid black, the note of the engine changes drasticly, and all h#!! breaks loose! This is when the alchohol is being injected. Makes some serious horsepower! :eeek:
