Kenwood TK-931 on 927 with 25 MHz split

Post by N4IRS »

We have written a Windows program to program the Kenwood TK-931 for HAM frequencies.
The software will allow you to program the 931 for any split. The software is FREEWARE and available at <http://www.qsl.net/n4irs/KnwdBurn.zip>

Is there any tuning of the radio necessary, or will it
go into the ham band as is?

Thanks,
Pete

Thanks,
The TK-931 will go right into the ham bands. There are two bandpass filters that should be changed or at least jumped out. I have some filter kits available for the Kenwood 931 and for the Motorola Maxtrac.
