TK-2170 PROGRAMMING?

Post by dirtslinger »

I am trying to program my tk-2170 and keep getting an error msg check connection. I talked to the dealer and he said it was my cheap programming cable. Does anyone now where I can get the correct kpg-22 cable? Mine has the 9 pines for the pc end and he said the good one will use the 25 pin.

A good dealer will let you try out his programming cable to see if it is the problem and then sell you a new one for a reasonable cost ($60-80 IIRC) if you want one.

Ok thanks. The cheapest I have found so far was $135 for a genuine kenwood kpg-22

Yeah I called the office and they said it was indeed more expensive than most of them so I guess that's what it is.
