Kenwood TK-730 User tone Option

Post by w5wbb »

I programed my Tk730 with the user selected tone option on with the AUX button and it does not do anything, I even tried the opt button and i get is nothing. everything else on the Tk-730 works fine, the 160 channels works great, but when i push the Aux button it is supposed to come up with code and select the tones with the chan knob but that dont even work. anyone have any ideals?

Hold down the SCAN key, press the OPT (OST) button, and then release both. CODE x should appear in the display and be selectable 1 through 16, corresponding to the 16 entries you made in your CTCSS table.

Your OST function and programming the MON button for selectable squelch should not be exclusive. I have several TK-630s set up that way.
