Kenwood TK-762G type 1 mod to make it type 2?

Post by SemperFlatus »

Does anyone know of a modification to change the TX frequencies on the 762G from type 1(148 ~ 174 MHz) to type 2(136 ~ 162 MHz)? I had this thing in my closet for a year or so and would like to use it on 2m. I have not opened it up yet....I would like to know what I am looking for before I try this.

The radio will program and work fine in the 2 meter range.
