OK, Dust off your cob webs. I found a old TK-240 portable in my SAR stuff. Originally this portable was programmed by jumpering 2 pins on the rear of the unit under a small cover. Well needless to say somone used a knife (as it was probably the easiest) and the rear panel is no longer able to get into programming mode. I also found a programming cable, and a KPG9D beta program. I have not attempted to program this yet. Anyone know if there was ever a newer version software ? The radio powers up and works really good. Unfortanetly our SAR team has changed our PL on our main repeater and added 2 other repeaters since this was programmed last. I'd like to get it set up with our current freqs until I can get rid of the unit.
can ya hear me now...
