TK-830 TX audio

Post by airboss20 »

I have a TK-830 in a dual band setup and the tx audio is low. Is there a microphone gain that I can adjust. I currently have the radio open and looking at the adjustment pots, but I don't see any for mic gain.

Or, does anyone know of another fix for low tx audio?

Thanks.

Is it just on the 830 radio or both bands? My recollection is that there is a pot to adjust that. I'll need to look in my service manual.

Flip the radio so the coax conenctor is to the rear on your left. Take off the cover. Look for VR101 near the front, this adjusts mic sensitivity. VR102 is squelch adj and VR103 is squelch CONT (?). On the other side of the radio are 3 pots in a row on the left. VR301 is deviation, VR 302 is DQT and VR303 is QT.
