TK730 Low External Speaker Audio

Post by Dave »

I connected an external speaker to pins 13 and 14. I removed the jumper between pins 9 and 12 for the internal speaker. The audio through the external speaker is extremely low (with speaker to your ear and full volume you can hardly hear noise). Are there any jumpers inside of the radio that need installed or removed to make the external speaker work? The internal speaker was loud and clear when pins 9 and 12 are jumpered. Thanks for any help, Dave.

Don't worry about it....It's pins 12 and 6 not 13 and 14. I now have a manual on order.

HELLO- PIN'S 6&12 ARE THE POS AND NEG OF YOUR EXTERNAL SPEAKER
12 BEING THE + AND 6 THE - SIDE, ALSO IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING YOU CAN MATCH THE IMPEDANCE FOR USING BOTH! MARK 8)
