The Radio Information Board

I have several tk-7160s in service. i think they are good radios but i am having one issue with them.

Is seems to me the person talking on them sounds like they have a sock over the mic. they always sound muffled. these were the first radio to go with the newer solid black mic. the older tk-760s didnt seem to have this problem.

has anybody else noticed this? if so how did you correct the situation?
