What Kenwood's are field programmable?

I have heard mixed reviews and replies on the programmablilty of Kenwood radios. Which handheld models that are narrowband compliant are field programmable. I am interested in both VHF and UHF. Also what is necessary to make such units field programmable?

I know for a fact that the TK-370G can be modifed to be field programmable. I would assume the TK-280/380 and TK-290/390 could be modified in the same way.
