TK380 adding keypad

Have a 380 that i purchased a housing and the rubber keypad for to convert to dtmf. However when i transmit it will not send DTMF on ch.

I say check the firmware if you have a non-DTMF firmware and install the DTMF keys. It could also be the electronics are cut out fro nondtmf radios.

How do i check firmware on the 380. Also I know it is a ver 2

Yup. Changed Model(TO KEYPAD MODEL) and enabled Manual dial (I think) Pretty sure i did the last step. Dont know what else to try.

No way to do what you want, because chip-resistiors (which installed in DTMF-lines) in PCB of non-DTMF TK-x80 portable radios are NOT installed at factory :(

Look on your keyboard PCB - you can see places for chip-resistiors.

You must replace keyboard PCB with another one where these resistors installed.
