7180 and david clark
Has anyone hooked a tk7180 into a david clark system? if so what pins where used?

No, but should be a piece of cake...
Two wires for TX audio go to MI2 pin 6 and ME (mic earth) pin 25.
For PTT I hook high to AUX I/O 1 pin 24 and PTT REF to ground pin 7
You need to program AUX I/O 1 for "INPUT" and "EXTERNAL PTT (VOICE)" and
active "LOW" in the KPG89D software (edit>extended function>aux). There is
also a tab (edit>extended function>modulation line) for setting up your TX audio
source, but the default the software is correct.
RX audio would be the two wires from the DC across the speaker wires. There is also
RX audio on the 25 pin connector. The two wires from the DC would go to AFO pin 17
and ground pin 11. This is a constant low level RX audio unaffected by the volume control.
This may not have enough oomph to provide good volume in the headsets. In that case,
bridge the speaker wires.
Lastly, set the TX level. Open up all headset radio interface boxes. Find the blue pot and
turn the tweeker screw CCW numerous times until the TX volume falls off. Then turn pot CW
until TX volume just comes up to max and no more. Kenwoods don't need much mic drive and
dispatch will grumble if it's too loud and distorted.

For the modulation line, what would be the settings to not hear the id? Basically just pass the PL when there is someone talking using 2 of these radios.
