Problems programming older EFJ5300 mobile

Post by emt.micah »

I have an older EFJ5300. It was manufactures in 03 or 04. When I turn it on I get the following version numbers: 3.17.21 then 1.26.3.

I have PCConfig 2.1.0 and 1.28.0.3. When I attempt to read or write the radio, the PCC indicates its working, but nothing seems to happen after even 5 or ten minutes. I know the computer is talking to the radio, because if I unplug the programming cable while PCC indicates it's busy, the software spits out an error indicating it lost comms with the radio.

Any ideas?

I'm not certain as thats a version number I've not seen. I think you have a version 1 5300 which is ARM based.

5300 ARM DSP FIRMWARE BOOT PCC
Version 1 (ARM) 1.32.11 1.64 N/A 1.10/1.12 1.30.7

I think PCC 1.28.0.8 is another version to try.
