How difficult is it for a fairly new person (technically speaking) to program MPA's -- must you have the older, slower computers?
I have a chance to possibly purchase a programming package and want to make sure I can do this before I seriously consider buying.
Thanks.

Unfortunately the rules are the same for older GE radios as for the Motorola. DOS & a 486 \ 66 Do the Trick nicely.

my organization programs EDACS MPA/MTL, PCS, & Rangr with PII-300 notebooks (win95 in DOS box) & on PIII desktops (running NT)
been using this setup for several years now... can't say that i've personally seen any problems using faster computers.
