VX-300 Programming problems

My search and rescue team has 4 VX-300's and 2 of them will no longer accept programming. As the radio is downloading the information the screen changes to say ERR1. When I turn the radio off and turn it back on, it says INI2 as it powers up. The other 2 radios say ERR1 after the download is complete and they work fine when turned back on. I am hoping someone may have an idea what is wrong with these 2 radios. Any suggestions?

That could be a conflict in the computer with the com port. I had that happen to me. It will drive you nuts until you figure out what the problem is. They will read fine but won't program.
