The display lamp on a Kenwood TK760H (not TK760GH) may die because of the Q405 current regulator malfunction. The Q405 (2SB1132) transistor may be dead. It may be no contact in R455 10 Ohm resistor, it is easy to find, it hangs on its long legs. I had this problem because of the bad resistor.

We have repaired several of these on the older 60 series mobiles. There are 3 of the surface mount LED bulbs on each end of the display. On each end the LED are in series. If one of the 3 goes out the other 2 dont work. It is common that they will get a broken solder joint and a lot of the time they just need resoldering. If indeed they are burned out, then you can use an ohm meter to find the bad one and replace it. I have never see over 1 or 2 bad at a time.

Hope this helps.
