Kenwood x30 remote head pinouts

Post by Bob »

Looking for the pinouts for the 6-pin connector on the back of the remote control head. I have the pinouts for the 15-pin connector on the radio drawer.

Anyone?

A few things are available there such as ign control, outside loudspeaker, inside remote speaker, option button on/off control, tho mods or jumpers need to be cut....what was it you would like to do?I could look in the book to see what would need to be done.

I'd like to run the speaker and the ignition sense off the remote control head.

Ign,pin 2,must jumper lands A and B on control unit,also cut W101

Pins 5 and 6 are external speaker 5 watts output,to increase to 10 watts..
short W106,also short W10
note W 106 is already jumpered if your radio is a remote mount.
hope this helps...

Just a question on the Remote head ignition sense connection. Does a wire juimper need to be ran from point A to point B on the Circuit Board? The service manual is a little vauge on this and don't want to blow anything up.
