VXR1000 interface to trunked maxtrac?

Has anyone sucessfully interfaced the Vertex VXR1000 vehicular repeater to a Motorola Smartnet trunked maxtrac?

We have several VXR1000s with low band CDM1250s. They work quite well. The trunked Maxtrac does not have COR or PL/CSQ detect line out of the accessory connector. However, there is a mod you can make bringing the audio gate line out to the connector but I don't know if the VXR1000 can use this. A Pyramid vehiclular repeater will. You can look on their web site for the application note for this. I've been told the Pyramid SVR200 will do the COR this way. You may have to contact Vertex to see if the VXR will work with this modification.
