vx150 programming question

hello all
I have a vx150 and like to know if someone has been able to expand the TX range to the 155mhz range?

Yes there is a hardware mod that needs to be done to get the TX range up into the 155 range. I believe it is the removal of a transistor. Search yahoo for VX-150 mods and you should be able to find it. It may be a little much for someone that isn't a radio technician, so you may need to list the help of a tech that is willing to do it. This may void your warranty and FCC type acceptance of the radio.
