KPG 49D help files

Post by ems357 »

Is it possible for someone to copy the help files and any other directions to a Word format?

I've recieved several copies of all the help files, but they won't open. I'm using just dos, I've tried windows dos, and just kpg49d running on just a dos machine and still no go.

I would like to know all the ins and outs of this program besides just diving in and using it, (which is what I've been doing).

I would appreciate any guidance.

I have two other people looking into it and they have no solutions. But I'm not giving up. If you want to hack at it together, I'm in.

For something off topic, do you know what the 5210 is selling for?

You can open those files in wordpad, and print them out; or if you want to make them really pretty after saving them as a .txt file open them in word and "reformat" to your liking.

Each help file must be opened separately.

They won't open as windows help files as you found out.

I made them into a text file. If anyone would like a copy, let me know.

are you shure that you have the correct file path in, setup, help drop down
sometimes the files are in a sub directory eg C:\KPG56\data\help or whatever your PC stored them in.
With dos it should be easy to sort, it is better to hit F1 with the item hilighted than run through pages of paper
