TK730/830 Dual - Audio Problems

Post by kfd29 »

I have a dual band TK730&830 w/ external Speaker. My problem seems to be whenever a VHF channel's audio is being sent to the speaker, the mic "opens" up (not as in transmitting, but if you talk into it, you can hear yourself talking through the speaker). Whenever I need to turn the audio up about 1/2 way or more, I get quite a bit of feedback on VHF only channels when they are talking. Anyone else ever have this problem, or any ideas? The external speaker is properly connected to the terminal in the rear of the VHF, I could place the speaker further from the mic but would rather not due to a lack of space.

Thanks,

Ever figure it out? Read my last post under topic "alternator whine". It sounds like a problem you might have in the KRK radio 1 adapter
