Does anyone know how I can use the CE64 software to program below 450 MHz? I want to be able to use this nice little radio for ham radio.

This MIGHT work.
Locate a VX417/VX420E Version CS radio (440MHz-470MHz).
Obtain a download file from that radio (name.ce64).
Edit the template to your Ham freqs.
Save the file under a new name.
Attempt to upload the file into your radio.
The radio might take the file, it might not.
Be aware the radio will stop at 470MHz if the radio does accept the programming.
If this works, please let me know.
Don't forget the specs may not be up to factory standards, so I'd recommend having it checked on a service monitor before putting it back in service.
I know 417/420 lends it's self to a lot of "hacking" when it comes to hardware configuration (ex. changing a VX417 into a VX420).
