add group to e series

Hello all, I am trying to add a new group to a KFM985 aircraft radio. Which is basically 2 E series portables in one case. Anyway it says nogrp# when I try and select an empty group. How does one add an entry to an empty group? I have read the manual and haven't figured it out. Thanks. PL

It's a factory upgrade. I don't think there's any way to do it yourself.
