kpg56d /tk-270g again

i have the latest greatest version on the kpg56d (v4.21) its a windows based prog. my problem is trying to open up the dat files in an external editor like excel. it would be so much easier to copy and paste the data in something like a csv file or a spreadsheet. you cant copy a freq from a database or a spreadsheet into the software. i have a relative who is a programmer looking at the dat files so if we can come up with something i'll post it here as freeware, that shouldnt get me in trouble with the host for copyright stuff. if anyone has tried to tackle this problem or found a way to import/export data a little help would go a long way.

Bring it on!!! I'm getting bloody sick of not being able to export and import data from lists and other Codeplugs/different radios, with Motorola CPS you can import from source files and drag and drop.
