TK-760HG-1 Help

I have a TK-760HG-1 and I plugged an ICOM mic into it. The Kenwood now has a problem of no PTT. I removed the front panel and found a small three legged part smoked. The board is stamped VR501 above the part. Is this a voltage regulator, transistor, or a dual diode? This part is behind the mic connector. What is it's part number? Do you think other parts are damaged? Is there another place other I can ground to test the transmitter?
