Post by tylercnty316 »

Hell all,was wondering if you could give me some input on which radio to go with.I am either looking at buying a 90 series dual band(low band/high band) or 2 CDM1250's(1 high band 1 low)Can anyone give me some info on what the radios might have in common? Thanks for any info....Jason

The 2 CDM radios will be far cheaper than the dual band Kenwood setup. But they will only do 32 channels.

Thanks ka7wnf...I figured the Motorola's would be cheaper, but wont each one do 64 channels?I know the 90 series can be upgraded, but can you set up 2 CDM'S like you can with the Kenwoods?@ separate radios with 1 remote head? Thanks for any info any one provides.

You can dual head them but not dual band like the Kenwoods. The CDM1250 will do 64 channels. I was thinking of another radio when I wrote that. Sorry about the confusion.
