Tk-730H help needed

I have a tk 730H that I not long ago with the full feature head with 32 ch. I also bought the upgrade kit to make it 160 ch. I put the chips in and try to read the radio and get a error across the head and the computer will not read it. I put the original kit back in the radio and it reads and writes with that. Before someone asks I did put the radio into program mode and everything is hooked up right. Anyone have any ideas of what to do now?
