I have a Midland 6 meter mobile radio, model 70-050c, that I bought at a swap. It has a board in it with a on/off switch (s601). The board # is z-289a. It looks like a audio board. Anyone knows what it is, and what the switch does?

the Z-289 is the eprom that stores the freq, codes, scan list etc.
It is a UV erasable - note the chip with the "window" on it. The chip is erased with UV light and then reprogrammed using the Midland 70-1000 eprom programmer.
