The radio has to be a TK-190-2. The TK-190-1 is pretty bad on the 6m band, but mine works well to about 45MHz.

You must add the "memmap" option after the name of the program (e.g. run "KPG59D memmap" to enable the built in hex editor.

Then you can manually enter the out of band frequencies. A TK-190-2 radio should handle 6m quite nicely.

For the record:
TK-190-1 = 29.7-35MHz rated (~29-45 actual)
TK-190-2 = 35-50MHz rated (~35-54 actual)

You have to run the software with the "memmap" switch.

At your dos prompt, you would do this:

C:\KPG59D\> kpg59d memmap

That'll add an option to one of the pulldown menus called "Memory Map" or some business like that.

That IS a hex editor. From there, you have to find the channels (they're labelled backwards, I.E. 49.060 would be "00 06 49").

Just enter the 6 meter frequencies into those fields in a similar format, and program the radio.

Don't hold me responsible if you hurt something though... You have to know what your doing in there.

Additionally, I recommend doing this with TK-190-2 radios ONLY, the TK-190-1 won't work up that high.
