The Radio Information Board

I have read that the old VX-VP1 Prog Cable (White), will not work with Windows, that I need the newer VX-VP1 (Black) that has a black connector. Anyone know the difference between the two? I'm hoping it's just pinouts, I'd hate to spend another $70 and just trash my old cable. Is there any electronics in the cables? Thanks, Chip

I do not think there is a difference. Check out http://www.rfwiz.com give them a call. He has been around for years and would give you a straight answer.
