Does anyone know what the pinout is for the 705/805D programming cable? is it the Mic to Serial PC or to USB? How about where to get the program?

You can only program the D models from the computer. The non D are programmed from the front panel.
best way to get the cable is spedn the $20 and get one off ebay.

The 705d/805d can be programmed from the front panel or with the 6 pin kenwood cable, also any kenwood 8 pin radio can be programmed with the six pin cable, just be carefull when plugging it in.
