TK-880 ver 2 realignment
I have a TK-880 ver 2 I am trying to use on the 440 ham band, sometimes the RX will lock (when the radio is warm) sometimes it won't. Is there a VCO free run adjustment point or alignment menu I can access to notch this RX down so it will lock to say, 442 lowest? I don't care if I lose RX in the T-Band as we don't use it here. So long as it can go up to 470 I can live with it.
Have you tried the "test mode" in the programming software? Unfortunately, all I have for manuals in front of me is the TK-780.
On the VHF model, the VCO trimmers are TC101 and TC102, and you read the voltage at TP1. With the PTT keyed, the voltage should not drop below 1.5V or exceed 9.0 V (Lowest and highest frequency channels). These trimmers should be located on the top front of the main board under a shield.
The VCO is common to both TX and RX, according to the manual.
