The Radio Information Board

Hey guys on the signalling part of the radio it has On Duty and Off Duty , I program these radios to act a s a pager on certian channels and use Off Duty........However I would like to add a 2 tone to one of the channels and add it as on duty however I am unable to do so .....any help would be appreciated. thanks

I've dealt with the VX160/180 and the VX410/420 and neither allow for individual on-duty off-duty per channel. It's one or the other system wide.
A round about way is to turn auto reset off, program the system as off-duty. Then press the PTT on the tone-out channel to put the radio into normal monitor mode.If you have PL/DPL squelch on the channel that will still work. It's a bit of a pain remembering to push the button everytime and you have the blinking light, but it will do what you want.
