Can anyone owning a FT-8800R advise if you can set up separate banks within a band to scan. For example in VHF...
Bank 1 - Ham (20 channels)
Bank 2 - Fire (15 channels)
Bank 3 - Police (20 channels), etc.

Can you also scan multple banks at one time or set it to scan just one bank at a time ?

Yep you can do that. the 8800 is extremely versatile when it comes to scanning. As an alternative to using banks, you can use the 6 quick-configuration buttons on the front panel...just hit a button to change the entire radio setup. Get the FTB-8800 programming software...makes it much easier.
