The Radio Information Board

Hi Working on a EFJ 7162 that the channel and option buttons will not work.
You take the case off and use a metal screw driver and all 4 buttons work.
The rubber pad has gone bad?????????????????????????
I tried to clean it with no luck
Anyone have seen this before and what is the fix???

I worked on a few 71xx's. Sometimes the inside of the rubber pad is dirty or the contacts on the board are bent and not making good contact with the pushbuttons. PL
